Toshiba India - Deficient Customer support with regards to Toshibha Laptop L510-D 4011

1. This is to bring to your kind notice that I had purchased A TOSHIBHA SATELLITE L510-D4012 MODEL NO PSLF8G-00Q004 SL NO ********Q NOTEBOOK from your authorised reseller LAPCOM , NEHRU PLACE , NEW DELHI -110019 For a consideration of Rs33250/- paid through card vide your Invoice No LIII-527/2009-2010 ON 16 JAN 2010.
2. I would like to bring to your notice regarding the marketing malpractices , deficient support and supply of substandard laptop

( i) The dealer finalised a deal for L510- D 4012 and handed me a L510- D 4011 quoting that he had finalised the deal by mistake .The same was intimated to your customer support telephonically as well as through mail asking for an investigation to be carried out but nothing has been done till now.

(ii). A CARRY CASE IS PROVIDED AS THE PART OF LAPTOP AS INDICATED BY YOUR WEBSITE , BROCHURE AND CONVERSATION WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SUPPORT THE DEALER REFUSED TO PROVIDE Me the same quoting THAT THE COMPANY DOES NOT PROVIDE THE SAME AND FORCED TO CARRY THE LAPTOP IN THE HARD BOARD PACKING CASE. The issue was take up with your customer support vide Carry_Bag _Issue_Notebookcare_TnC0202-7.It is three months since the issue is lingering without any solution.

(iii). The warranty details for the laptop were registered telephonically on 17 jan 2010 but inspite of several reminders the warranty information was not updated
(iv). The laptop right hinge cover has developed a crack within 15 days of purchasing the laptop. The same was taken to HCL Support centre located at 204/B , Shilak Bhawan, II floor,opp bhagwan mahavir jain hospital, Millers road, vasantnagar Bangalore. The technician refused to inspect the laptop and returned back the same quoting plastic part damage. The issue was taken up with Mr rakesh regional manger Toshiba Bangalore phone no ********10 who asked for forwarding of the defect photographs. The same was forwarded to him and regular telephone calls for the next 15 days reminding about the case failed to evict any response from him. Additonally the battery is also loose and causes loose contact quite often.

Complainant's Goal: Take back the laptop pay its cost of Rs 33250/- and also Rs 15000 compensation
