RedBus.in, its a transport agency that helps in bus tickets booking in advance.
my ticket booking no is TC********42
I booked a ticket that costed 408.00 Rs including internet charges on wednesday 5th for a journey from chennai to banglore - journey dated on 7 may 2010, 11.15pm. the above is the ticket ref. no.
the customer support on friday morning called me up and said the bus service has been cancelled for that day. and they asked me buy a/c bus for 700 Rs with extra charges. they also gave me another suggestion that I would be refunded the whole amount if I cancel the ticket otherwise.
I was very frustrated, that they made my journey undecided the whole day and cancelled the ticket and booked a seperate ticket from the other private transport agency.
now, they had refunded the money of only Rs.380, and for no reasons they charged the cancellation amount.
in addition to this they made me called to their payed service line 044 39412345 several times, i would have spent nearly 50 Rs. for this to call to their services, and I was in duty hours and did not work properly because of this tensions.
the customer support was also not satisfying, this doesnt mean the people are rude. but they didnot respond me properly.
overall i wanted 28 + 50 + 300(for wasting my office time with them) = 378 Rs extra to be refunded to my account. also I wanted strict action to be taken against the redbus.in
I also made a complaint in the other websites also, but only for Rs. 128. then realised that the claim was too low...

It is really shameful that a prestigious company like railyatri is associating with such fraudulent bus operators to cheat customers. The attitude of bus operator was completely uncalled for and he left the passengers on fate in 12.000 night hours of us… An on the spot criminal complaint has also been lodged against the bus operator (Naresh, Amar Travels and associates) and Rail Yatri & associates for gross criminal negligence & fraud with central Police online system and they did the spot verification at the place. The matter has been reported to Railyatri.in two times over your customer care phone number.

I am writing this formal email with all necessary details for further action from your side.

Now, we are looking at what action will be taken against the bus operator and how the losses incurred shall be compensated to us. I have lost 3-4 lakhs deal coz I couldn’t reach the meeting on time due to this. Please let me know your course of actions by return email to us…

I didn't get any response or any compensation for the losses and pain incurred to me and my 4 other fellow passengers. The last communication I got was from Redbus.com, who flatly refuse to refund the paid amount to the passengers.

icdwql! please clarify me this... you booked a ticket some 3 days back and on the final day you been informed as there's NO bus for the ticket you have. also you have not been provided any alternate with the ticket that you have, then what purpose is the ticket is booked IN ADVANCE for?
do you still struck with fighting with these idiots or will you look for an another way, just imagine someone from your family is sick/ serious in your hometown.

In the terms and services of the ticket, it is clearly stated that redbus is only an aggregator of bus services, not provided. How can you blame redbus if the bus service gets cancelled. Was your ticket home delivered in the first place? If so, probably you need to deduct delivery charges. And other compensation like 300 is very unreasonable of you to ask. I cannot really see redbus at fault here.

These reasons does not make the business fraud. Your frustration must be channeled towards the bus operator not redbus.
