This is in reference with my Iphone 5S, which stopped functioning suddenly day before yesterday.
I went to nearest service station i.e in Sahara Mall, post informing the issue, my phone was taken by the lady at the desk for examination. I was told that there is liquid inside my device due to which it cannot be repaired basis VMI guidelines.
It was shocking to hear that from the executive as the claim put forth was impossible as neither my phone ever dropped inside water not water dropped over my phone since the time I've purchased.
Unsatisfied with the response, I went to another service station of Apple, situated at CP, told the issue. To my surprise, they never bothered to open my phone and told due to huge external damages, the phone cannot be considered under replacement warranty.
My point is the phone stopped working suddenly without being dropped from anywhere. The external damages in the phone are not that huge that would cause non-functioning of my phone just like that.
I requested them to repair it at least however they denied and said mother board has a problem and can only be replaced.
What should I do now. It's an hardware issue and irrespective of any reason why am I liable to bear it. Had it been dropped and so much damaged, I would have accepted it. But without any reason, I have ended up losing money on I phone.
Being under warranty, my phone should get replaced by the company.
Had plans to buy Iphone 7, however looking at the different standards of dealing at authorized service centers of Apple, I am scared to be associated with the brand as a customer.
I am highly disappointed with the customer service of Apple letting customer suffer problems in my handset's hardware.
