On 28.3.2012, i had issued a cheque favouring LIC of India for Rs. 3 Lakhs, this is towards one time premium towards thier Jeevan Vridhi policy. On 29.3.2012, i went for medical check up as per LIC request. Mean time, my cheque has been cleared by LIC on 5.4.2012 (approximate date) On 11.4.2012, i get a letter from LIC saying that your policy 'postponement for six months'. in this letter no clear grounds of non issue of policy is mentioned. If i have not qualified their medical test, they should write it to me the clear fact, they have no right to hold my money. 2nd they cannot deduct the medical examination fee from my account because i have not qualified to their standard. thirdly, how can LIC first encash my cheque without the medical report or even before doing the basic checks? This is a serious lapse from LIC, this has put me in a 'great mental agony' mentally harrassed me by mis guiding and have blocked my money without any cause, loss of interest etc etc...
