Subject; Request for improving the functioning of PNB branch No. 390700(IDPL Geeta Nagar Rishikesh)

Sir,

1. The undersigned is a retired Executive (VRS) and a senior citizen. We have a joint SB Acctt. No. 390700 0100098188 and our customer id no.
Is********2.We have 7 fixed deposits approximately valuing Rs. 15 laks.

2. The FDs are being renewed every 6 months. We are facing great problem in renewal of the FDs as inordinate delay is being done in renewal. The time taken in renewal is often more than one hour. The customer is in general directed to collect the receipt next day. You may appreciate that the bank has prescribed time limit for every function. But time limits are seldom honoured in this branch.

3. This complaint has originated lately that is with the transfer of old staff. The present assistants/sr. assistant’s behavior is akin to babus of State Government ie not professionally oriented. However the Manager in himself is well behaved and satisfactorily addresses the problems of the customers.

4. I would like to vindicate the above by putting one episode as under-

I had put up a FD Acctt. No. 390700PR00026214 for renewal for 6 months on 23.03.10 at 11am.I was directed by one assistant Shri Mattoo to collect the renewed FD on 25/03/10 the 24th being bank holiday instead after 15 -20 mint. The FD’s maturity value as on10.03.10 was Rs. 357264.00.I collected the renewed FD on 25th March. It was to my utter dismay that the entries in the FD were wrong. In fact the last renewal was done 0n 10/09/09 and maturity dt was on 10.03.10. The present renewal was wef 10.03.10 and dt of maturity would have been 10/09/10.

The above wrong entry put me in strange agony as I could not for the time being understood the mistake committed by the bank.

I request you to look into the complaint and do the needful for improving the functioning of the branch.

I suported it.PNB has no proper track to solve any complaint.It is going agaist the public.
