I am currently working and residing in Mysore. For some important work, I had to travel to Bangalore. While travelling in Bangalore, on 14th August, 2014, my Nokia Lumia 925, 1 month and 25 days old, with IMEI: 35********63313, having Vodafone SIM no.: ********08, was stolen in bus to Town Hall, Corporation. After the phone being stolen, because of unavailability of any supporting resources, I couldn't get my SIM blocked instantly. Even visiting to Police Station at that moment was not possible. I was forced to travel back to Mysore. After coming back to Mysore, at 2:00 am on 15th August, 2014, I registered a complaint to Vodafone for theft of my mobile phone with Vodafone phone in it. They registered the complaint for blocking my SIM from any use but didn't accepted to block my phone, using IMEI of my phone, to make it unusable. They suggested me to contact Nokia's care center. I contacted Nokia care center at around 10:00 am on 15th August, 2014, and they also said that they cannot block my phone and make it unusable. I will have to go Police and ask them to trace my phone. Today is 15th August, Independence Day, I'm not sure how care would be taken for my complaint, if I go to Police Station. But I will do that. Another thing which Nokia care executive mentioned was to use 'Find my phone' feature on 'windowsphones' website to lock my phone. But this could be done only when my phone is switched on and connected to internet. And at present my phone is switched off. Now, how I will come to know when my phone is connected to internet? What are the chances that the Thief will sue internet on my phone.

Nothing appears to be working or feasible at the moment. But definitely I need my phone to be traced and returned back to me. Price of phone is huge. In worst case, if cannot get my phone, I would at least like to make it unusable.
