Complaint by: RAVI on January 16, 2010, 10:38 am in Others

It is well known by many people using the CMBT and the government employees working over there that the shops in the premises sell consumables at price much above the MRP value.

I have also faced many such issues and complained to government personnel at the premises. But,people wash hands by saying that these things are beyond their scope of work/control.

For instance, i bought a Minute Maid Pulpy Orange (whose MRP was INR 20) for a price of INR 25 i.e. 25% extra price on 28 Dec 09 in the evening @ around 6 pm.
This is the case with all the consumables bought at the premises.Above this, when asked for a bill for the purchase, the shopkeepers use offensive language.

Furthermore,i complained at the ESTATE OFFICE but they neglected the issue and directed me to the Police Booth.
I complained this to the policeman @ the MAY I HELP YOU desk, but he said that this was usual and he cannot do anything. He also said that i could complaint to anyone in this regard.
It is really hurting to see the most important government personnel being so irresponsible.

I request the authority to take immediate action on this issue. If the situation continues, there will be lot of money flowing into the Indian Black Market.
