My Name is Rahul Kumar asnd I am a resident of Pimple Saudgar ,Pune.
Today ,1st September 2012, around 5.30 PM ,I was goinng to Wakad on my two wheeler Hero honda Glamor.
I crossed Hinjewadi flyover and was waiting in front of Madhiban hotel with my side indicators on (with buzzer on) to take round turn.Suddent ,an auto rischaw came from behind and hit my bike.
The driver told me that he could not apply brakes on time but it has resulted in the loss of around 2000 rupees for my bike.
The auto driver was not ready to pay for the damage.So, I went to Hinjewadi police station to file a FIR against auto driver.
There, the people were very reluctant to file an FIR for my accident inititally.
Later on ,when they knew that the accident had happened in front of Madhuban hotel ,I was told that it comes under Wakad Police station jurisdiction and so I should file a complaint there.

The accident ,fortunately ,did not cause any injury to me but left me really wondering about the whole system.
A.If i had used force ,i could have recovered money from Auto drover but rather i did not take law in my hand and went to Police station.So that , at least i can claim for bike insurance.
B.At the Police station , the behaviour of the people for me raising complaint about this minor accident (As they thought ) was really sad.Also, when they came to know that i belonged to North India , they made faces making me feel ,as if North Indian people should file Police complaint.

I havebeen in Pune for last 12 years and Pune is like second home but this whole incident left bitterness in me.
