Dear Sir,

As you people are are aware about the hardship being faced by the passengers while booking tatkal ticket across the counters.
It is my belief that nothing will happen through this mail but still I am sending this mail to intimate the higher authorities about the irregularities while booking tatkal ticket.

Sir, it is quiet impossible to book tatkal ticket at Karkardooma ticket counter at Delhi.Everyday the same persons (agents) are standing in the front queue. They are managing the front line with the help of RPF people. The agents are in majority there so no body dares to stop them as they are local and they start fighting with the genuine passengers even infront of RPF people. Many of them have even in drunken state. There is no system of line.In the begining there will be a line but at 7.30 when the gate opens everybody at once runs towards the counters which results in a great mismanagement.Everyday some incident used to occur there and we are forced to pay Rs.500/- to Rs.1000/- per ticket extra.

Sir, to improve the situation I suggest that some strict majors should be taken against the agents and RPF people.Video recording and cctv camera must be installed in order to identify the agents.Tatkal tickets should be sold only to the passengers and not to agents.
By applying the above methods I am sure that situation will definately change.

Sir, one more thing I wish to remember you that tatkal booking was started for the benifits of the passengers and not for the agents.

With regards

Abhimeet

I strongly support to Mr Abhimeet Kumar. The problem narrated is very genuine. Authorities concerned should look into the matter seriously to avoid malpractice.

In my opinion those come for Tatkal booking should get reservation irrespective of the present practice that booking completed after a prescribed number of booking. If they cannot be accommodated in the present available coaches then adding of additional coach should be considered so that everybody is accommodated. This, the competent authority will appreciate that; this will not only benefit the passengers but also benefit the railways by way of double income.

Hope concerned authorities should throw a light in this direction and do the needful to streamline the present situation.
