The whole incident took place in March end and April beginning of 2016.

They first contacted and talked to me like complete professionals till I agreed to take the package and make the advance payment. Then they never responded to my calls and mails and only contacted me for asking for the rest of the money. They kept threatening me to cancel the package if I didn't give them rest amount and didn't provide any security for the money I had already paid. While booking they told over the phone that I could pay the rest amount after(or during) the trip but after paying the advance they mentioned in the bill that the remaining amount needs to be paid 3 days before the beginning of the trip. However, they didn't mention it anywhere before neither is it mentioned on their website. Then I asked them to provide me the details of the bookings (hotels, vehicle etc.) that they claimed to have made so that I could believe them and proceed for further payment. But they didn't provide me any detail and kept asking for payment.
When I told them that I would make rest of payment as soon as I reach gangtok (starting place in the tour), they sent a taxi to carry us from siliguri to gangtok and told the driver to drop us to some hotel .However I had made it clear during the booking that I had already booked a hotel myself for that day. I contacted the hotel and asked if the payment for hotel booking was already made by the company to which he said that he would collect the remaining amount in the package from me (call recorded by me). I contacted the company and they said that it was a mistake and the hotel was booked for someone else (call recorded by me). After this I called the company 30-40 times later that day to clarify things but they didn't respond (all calls with no response recorded). Later that night, a man from gangtok itself called and said that the company has asked him to collect the rest amount from me (call recorded by me). I again tried to contact the company but no response after which I was forced to make my own arrangements.

Then I came across reviews about the company stating that they are cheaters from websites like justdial, sulekha . Following this, I told them to refund my advance or provide me services for the payment already made. But they didn't reply to my mails nor to my calls.

I request the refund of my advance payment with suitable compensation. Also, from the reviews it seems that they have cheated several others for much more money. It is necessary to take strict and immediate actions against them so that others can be prevented from their fraud racket.

I have also recorded my phone conversations with them after I felt that they are a fraud. I can provide them if needed.

Royal Tourism Guide, Kolkata have cheated very large number of people, amounting to Lakhs of Rupees. Now, they are saying that their server was burnt that is why they could not contact customers. Still, they want further money. Do not pay a penny extra. Lodge complaint in the nearest Police station and review on internet, at least further cheating is minimised.

They have cheated me , they took advance money of 35000 and are not providing any services , and their cell phone numbers are also out of service
