I was with my father aged 65 at thane platform no 5 to board Mangalore Express train no : 12133 @ 10:45 Pm my dad was suppose to travel and i had gone to drop him to the station. As this was an emergency we were unable to book the ticket i.e a reserved seat in advance and hence had purchased a General Coach ticket. We were at the station at 9:15 Pm and standing at the end of the Platform where the general coach is suppose to halt. There was no queue for the general coach which we usually have we were standing there was nearly 45 min after which a mob of people came running and formed a que. All these ppl were Maharashtrians traveling to Karvar. There was a gang of three Goons who had a white sheet and names written on it which they said are numbers and we are suppose to srand as per the number they came to my dad and asked our name and said we are not on the list and cant board the train. We opposed and questioned them whether this list was issued by Railway Officials and why the hell we shud not board the train when we have bought a valid ticker for which they started pushing us out of the que when i opposed they started hitting me n my dad...i cried for help n there was a RPF officer who was patrolling i called him but he said he cant do anything and contact the Railway police station located in Platform No 1. I ran to Platform no 1 n i got 2 police officials who questioned 2 ppl and did nothing but made us stand in the que n gave me their mobile number and asked me to meet after i help my dad board the train. They wanted some chai pani from me for helping me. I requested them to wait till the train comes as the goons had threatened me that they will throw my dad out of the train n they will watch out for me once i leave the platform but the police officials refused to stay back leaving only a mobile number. After they left the goons came back with their leader Sudhir who said the police are with them and they manage the que everyday by taking money from the passengers and also giving a share to the RPF officers located at the Platform no 1 at thane station. They again started hitting me n pushing my dad away from the Queue i called up the police officer on his mobile number crying for help but he refused to come stating there are RPF patrolling officer on the station n take help from them as they cant intervene but the patrolling office refused to help us as they knw the so called queue mangers i.e the goons n cant do anything.... I had no option to take my dad n leave as they might have harmed me and my dad in the journey. This is the condition of SO CALLED RAILWAY POLICE IN MUMBAI. When i walked to the police station to lodge a complaint they pushed me n my dad out stating they cane lodge a complaint as they knw them and are managing queues at platforms n cant fight back with them n it wud be a waste.... I HAVE LOST ALL THE FAITH AND TRUST ON THE INDIAN POLICE. NO ONE IS SAFE IN INDIA COZ THE POLICE THEMSELF ARE CORRUPT AND THEY SUPPORT THE GOONSA. I KNW NOBODAY WUD BE RESPONDING TO ME ON MY COMPLAINT BUT ILL MAKE AN EFFORT TO TAKE THIS FURTHER FOR SURE>>>

hi,
I m feeling very sad about that family and now i m afraid for the same, that if in future we might also face same problem.
This is shame on us (INDIANS0, we are not safe in our own country.
Please take strict actions against them and if possible dont keep this type of RPF whos cannot help us in our difficulties.
It is better we can fight alone instead of this RPF.

Please look into the matter as we too stay in Mumbai and travel from Thane.

Thnkx & regards,
Sameer

its pretty true. instead of listening they always try to defend things and ask silly and stupid questions. i had a bad experience with them earlier. The police forget one thing that they are paid from the taxes which we pay to government. They are our servants but they feel they are the lord. They must be teached a good lesson.
