Hi,

I am sharing my experience with Spectranet broadband service. I have been troubled so much with this in the past few months that I thought to share this with a wider audience.
(I am sharing this experience on facebook, mouthshut, customercare, society office and official forums of few IT companies with employee strength of 200,000 and more)

I am not expecting anything in return. A company who employs people with zero knowledge on plans, zero authority and zero behavioral skills and has a sole intent to increase headcount by fooling people.


Listing the chronology of events from the time I associated myself with spectranet.


1. At the time of installation I was told it will get installed in 1 day and it took 15 days for installation. Not to mention I had to follow up 100 times in this period.

2. After my initial commitment of 3 months was over I saw pamphlets in my society that all the new customers are getting 16 GB for the same cost. I was happy that plans are upgraded.

3. I contacted the customer care and told them about this new offer and to my surprise they say that the new scheme is only for new customers and they cannot entertain old customer with this new scheme. Old customers will have to take a more expensive scheme or disconnect their connection. Wow that’s called strategic decision to add more customer base and kick off old customers.

4. I requested for disconnection immediately. Now Mr Pawan (Cell Number 91 ********44) comes to my place and very politely explains that if I make a payment for 6 months I will get the same offer. He told me that these people in customer support are undergrads and have no intelligence. He apologises and confirms that I shall get same plan. I trusted his word and paid 6 months amount immediately.

5. After few days I realised that I am still not getting 16GB which was confirmed/promised to me by Mr. Pawan. What happened to his commitments.

6. I called Mr. Pawan (Cell Number 91 ********44) and asked him why this goof up and he asks for some time to get back to me with details. Fair enough I agree to this.

7. There was no call back from his side. In the evening when I call him he says I have to pay for one more months then only I will get this offer. Should I trust such frauds again. Am I stupid.

8. I politely asked Mr. Pawan why was the change in stand. Last time if was confirmed and validated again and again that there will not be anything additional we would need to do. Why is it that they are changing the stand again and again. He did not answer this and started shouting. Now this was a different version of Mr. Pawan who I was listening to. Maybe the company trains their employees to play different roles once money is received from customers.

9. When I asked him to deduct charges till date for my usage and disconnect the connection to which he rudely replies talk to the customer care and bangs the phone.

I want refund and disconnection I do not want to continue my association with spectranet which treats their customer like door mats.

I am checking with my documentary evidences if this qualifies for a fraud and if police can intervene and stop these people from fooling more people who are giving their hard earned money to such chors.

Finally I Got 16GB of data as promised by them.

I was the spectranet wireless user, I have been using this service for last few years but suddenly they disconnected the connection from our locality without any information. I live in Parasvnath Majestic Floor Indirapurm, Ghaziabad. I have already spoke to the customer care executive regarding this, even those guys given me wrong information and asked me that an engineer will be visiting to resolve your problem. But no one is visited.

On the top of it I have recharged my connection with Rs.700 few days back, now the total amount was 770 in my Voilet.

I sent them so many E-mail for refund my security money as well as 770 rupees back and compensation amount for the time in which I didn't used their connection.

They ensured me that within 30 days I will be able to receive my refund money through cheque. Its been 65 days
i did not receive any cheque. whenever i call them they do fake promises that i will receive cheque very soon i.e within one or two days.
