To share my grievances in a nut-shell, I ordered for a BLACKBERRY 8830 from BagItToday.com, a shopping portal run by none other than India Today Group on the 4th of March (TRNPL/DLI/10-11/342555). When the phone finally came in my hands on the 16th of March, to my UTTER DISBELIEF, I was handed over a phone which didnt have a camera or any ear-phones and a Phone which was totally outdated in nature (this model was released in 2007, which I realised only later)!
I called up the company's service centre and they have asked me to courier the phone back and have promised to reimburse the money in 21days. But this is just a oral committment and they havent been acknowledging the same through a mail, despite me writing to them multiple times until now. Also, only Blue Dart has agreed to ship a mobile phone for which, they are charging as much as Rs 2200, this is something the Online portal is not ready to bear. Which means, I have to bear shipping charges, which are almost 40% of the cost of the phone! (I'd paid Rs 300 while ordering the phone).
With the Blackberry-rage around, this company is really going all-out to mislead people in buying an out-dated piece (who's value in today's time would not be more than a couple of grands). I have other business commitments too and I am sick and tired of writing mails and making calls to these lousy people. I not only seek justice, but I also want thousands of naive online customers like me to NOT BE CHEATED by yet another online-scam.
Even I am facing the same issue. I also got one useless BB8830 from Bag it today.And it has invalid IMEI number.

When the company says its selling a Rs 13K phone for Rs 6K, wit 4 hours to go before the offer ends.. you are bound to get carried away. By selling a 2007 phone and marketing at Rs 13K, you are fooling the purchaser, coz he is bound to mistake it for the current phones in the market which are sold for Rs 13K. And looking at your statements, it looks like you are one of the company's employee/patron, trying to save the company's face and hide its mistakes by highlighting the consumer's mistake. PLS REMEMBER THAT YOU GUYS CANT RUN THIS SCAM FOR LONG.. TRUTH WILL PREVAIL AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY A HEAVY PRICE FOR YOUR WRONG DOINGS.
You sir are an imbecile. Did you not bother to read the specifications while purchasing the phone? Were you expecting the latest, high-end BB to arrive at your doorstep because you paid a measly 5K ? It is well known that the BB 8830 and 8820 are specifically in demand in enterprises which have a "no-camera-phone" policy. Thisis what happens when dim-witted, low level executives switch to BB from Micromax, Spice and Blackcherry.
You're lucky that Bagittoday had the decency to revert and offer a resolution.

I would also like to disclose that they are selling refurbished phone that means only cover is new but phone is used & old.My joystick get faulty in 3 days. Really cheater..........
