Subject : REFUND OF CANCELLATION CHARGES
Dear Sir/madam,
I, Jameel Ahmad, Commandant 193 Bn BSF, is a regular customer of the Indigo. On 2 May 09, I have purchased 03 Air tickets. Details of which are as under:
S/No Booking reference No of passenger Date of journey From To Fare Fee
01 JTUTAT 03 02/06/09 Delhi Kolkatta 7440/-
02 CIVIAV 03 03/06/09 Kolkatt Imphal 5340/-
03 P2 7IER 03 23/06/09 Imphal Delhi 11337/-
2. On 12 May 09, due to administrative reasons. I had to cancel the above (09) nine tickets which costed me Rs 750 X 9 = Rs 6750/-. Immediately, I purchased tickets for my wife for the same sectors for journey from Delhi to Imphal on 16 May 2009 and Imphal to Delhi on 30 May 2009 which also costed me extra money as by this time the cost of the tickets had gone up. In fact, I lost almost Rs 10,000/- on the process.
3. It is therefore request your good self to kindly look the matter personally and arrange to refund at least the of cancellation charges of Rs. 6750/- only. And the same may please be credited into my A/C No. C R 5281. I shall grateful for your early action in the matter. I am also told by my staff that there is some verdict given by the Hon’ble Supreme Court on the deduction of cancellation charges that these cancellation charge by airlines may not be charged from the customers.
4. Looking forward for your early response, please.
Yours faithfully,
sd-
(JAMEEL AHMAD)
COMMANDANT
