I and my mother were travelling from Hubli to Vasco-da-gama, goa on 18 April 2010 in night 11.30 train. I had some luggege of abt 158 KG with me. I went to the parcel office at 2.00 in the afternoon and wanted to book the luggege for parcel so that I can recieve the parcel in Madgao station, the parcel officer in charge told me that ther will be no service for madgao, and luggeges can be booked to vasco-da-gama. Having no option I was ready to book the luggege to Vasco-da-gama, but the parcel officer in charge and another person who is ticket inspector at Hubli railway station asked me some money of about Rs 450 and told luggege should be carried with us in the general compartment. As per the rules heavy luggeges should be sent by the parcel department in the SLR vagon, but they denied to transport our luggeges and told us carry the luggeges with us in the general compartment of the train, and charged the amount of Rs 245 for the 156 Kg weight of our luggeges, I paid the same amount and recieved reciept against that. After that the lugege is kept in the general compartment where the passengers travel, some passengers opposed to this, RPF police were also arrived and asked me about the tranportation of luggeges in the general comparment of the train, I quietly answered them about the things happenened in parcel room in Hubli Railway station, and shown the reciept of the luggeges also, and i told the police that parcel officer himself told me to carry the luggeges with me in the general compartment. But the police asked the bribe of Rs 100 but I did not have the money so i went to inform about this to my mother who was sitting far away , and told my mother to give the money to the police, My mother was also ready pay the bribe as the police harasshed me, but within no time the police with the co operation of the other muslim passengers in the train thown away our luggeges in toilet room, and harrased me and my mother very badly. Thre other MUslim passengers and group four members of RPF thown away our luggeges outside. The name of the police constable was Vjay.k and i was able to notice his name from his name plate on his shirt, I was unable to identify other police personnel and the Muslim passengers, The police cooperated very well with the passengers who were
