My TV (Brand- Philips)stopped working last month and i lodged complaint with local
philips service centre. After verifying service representative gave me reply sorry sir this tv cannot be repaired as the model is obselete.
I had earlier also given complaint in2005/2006 of strange noise inside my Tv set but nothing was done by phillips then.
I bought this High end TV for nearly 40000 INR in may 2005 ,while normal 29\'\' Tv`s costed around 19000 INR . Iwas assured by the seller(MS TMC Hyderabad) that this TV is a highend model and will last longer than other models.Tthinking that i will really get a value for my money i went on for purchasing this ,But in exactly 4 years the Tv Picture tube is damaged and there is no further manufacturing of the same .

After my complaint with phillips customer care and chasing phillips for nearly a month ,i was offered a discount on a new set by hyderabad based phillips head. I was told the set 32pfl5402 with MRP Rs 52000 is offered for 28000.I have checked all the showrooms in hyderabad and the selling price of the same set is 35000-37000 at all electronics showrooms in Hyderabad. I am not happy with the discount and have no trust on phillips products now and i donot want to go ahead with Phillips products anymore .I need a replacement or refund of money atleast a value for the loss i have incurred.

Kindly suggest is there a legal way to deal with it.
