Next Retail India - Sold a product which had less warranty than prescribed and now not helping me

On June 30th 2012, I bought a Nokia X7 mobile phone from Next Retail India Ltd at Korum mall for an amount of Rs. 16,418.67/-. Bill No. 3340109127. In the month of November the phone started giving me problem and started hanging up and switching off automatically. I approached the Nokia care centre at Satyam Shopping Centre, Ghatkopar East on 3rd December 2012 at 16.50 hours to get it repaired under warranty. The representative there told me that the warranty of the product had already expired in the month of October 2012 and I need to approach the retailer to get it regularized. On 4th December 2012 at 11.30 a.m. I went to retailer who assured me that needful will be done and asked me to call them on the next day. I called them on 5th December 2012 on their number 022-32209516. I was told by Mr. Kartik, the Store Manager that they had forewarded my complaint to the Nokia and asked me to call within forty eight hours. I called them on 7th December 2012 in the evening. I was asked by one Ms. Priya to call on the next day. The next day I call at around 5 p.m. Mr. Kartik told me that he will call me back the same day by 7 p.m. However, no call came through. Therefore, on Monday 10th December I called him up to ask the status of my problem. He said that he will call me within 5 minutes. However i never received a call. The next day also I called up. However, I was told that they would get back to me withing ten minutes. However, no call was received. Again i Called on the next day. I was told that Mr. Kartik is unavailable.
The store is avoiding to address my issue. I can not use this phone as it gets hanged and switched off. I had to buy a new phone now. The retailer has sold me a phone which had just four months warranty when the company assures one year warranty. I have suffered monetary loss and also it has caused me mental agony and wastage of my time.
