Hi,
My name is Sachin having IDEA PREAPAID no.********97 from last 5 years. Due to poor service and customer care i want tp port my number from idea to vodafone.
I have messaged PORT ********97 to 1900 and recieved a message from 1901 that my UPC is ID147RZT. After that on 20.01.2011 I have submitted the required form, verification ID and photograph at VODAFONE store.
On 21.01.11 VODAFONE has sent me message " Your porting request ID147RZt dated 21 jan 11 has been rejected by your current operator due to the Porting code does not match the Donor allocated Porting Code for this number. Please contact your current operator for further details". I called IDEA, firstly they tried to convince me to stay with Idea, but I was definate to port out and i requested them to look into the matter. After long conversation they said that this must be due to some thecnical reasons and I should again sms PORT 1900 and get my porting code and visit VODAFONE store again.
I again messaged PORT ********97 to 1900 and this time also I got the same UPC code.
NOW on 24.01.11 VODAFONE has again sent me message " Your porting request ID147RZt dated 24 jan 11 has been rejected by your current operator due to the Porting code does not match the Donor allocated Porting Code for this number. Please contact your current operator for further details".
I again called IDEA, but they didn't helped me and said they cannot do anything and they do not hae any detais regarding this... when I asked them t asking to some senior person then put my call on hold for around 20minutes.. then they said that there must be some due for any service you might be using.. I conveyed that my number IS PREPAID and you people dont START any SERVICE before deducting the balance.
PLEASE HELP>>> I WANT TO PORT OUT FROM IDEA
I support this complaint. Vodafone has rejected by portinng requests thrice with codes VA111529 and VA145628 and not providing me correct reason for rejection. TRAI should take serious action on these service providers else MNP will just remain as a definition with no use

I support this complaint. Same is happening with me to change from Vodafone to Loop. Current srvice provider simply don't want to release their numbers.
