Hi,
I received a promotional email from Kaunsa.com in October 2013 offering a SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 3 for Rs. 9999. My 2 family members and I thought it was a great deal and went ahead and placed the order for 3 such phones on my credit card on October 15, 2013. After the orders were completed and we happened to look at the pictures of the product closely, we realized that it did not have the Samsung logo on it. On further investigation, we discovered that it was a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 look-alike (with exactly the same features) from a company called Xtyle.
For the next 2 days we tried to call and email their customer service, but there was no answer from them. Eventually when we did finally get in touch with them, they first told us they couldn't cancel the order. After much arguing, they agreed to refund the money into my credit card, but only after deducting about Rs. 900 per order as cancellation charges. I didn't initially agree to pay any cancellation fees because it was a case of misrepresentation but I finally gave in to simply end this ordeal. They sent me an email to get my consent to cancel the order and process the refund. I promptly responded on October 17 2013. I was told that the refund will be in my account in 45 days. My sister(who ordered one of the 3 phones) never received the cancellation email, and received the phone instead. She obviously hasn't been able to get in touch with Kaunsa.com to return the product and get her refund. Its now almost 90 days since then.
I have tried calling them multiple times since December, but there's no answer while I continue paying interest on my credit card for the 3 transactions of Rs. 9999/- each.
Kindly address this concern at the earliest and I request you to kindly revoke licenses of such companies. Also, I would like that all the money is refunded along with the interest I've been paying for the misrepresentation and intent to cheat a consumer.
