If all you have to carry an international sim card, I always ask my friends and family to use a matrix sim card. For all I know that they will be able to make that call from any corner of their destination. After my terrible experience of billing myself massively on my indian number and the one I used from Uniconnect, I finally find matrix sims to be convenient and relatively affordable as well. So go ahead you guys, try it out for yourself! You wont be disappointed!
