I booked a Sofa Set in March 2010 (Bill No. BD/09-10/1103) from then Green Park showroom of Usha Lexus, which was delivered to me on 17 April 2010. Ever since then I have been complaining about the upholstery in two seats of the three-seater, which got wrinkled after two-three days of use.
After several complaints, the three-seater sofa was taken to the Neb Sarai workshop on 12 August 2010. The sofa was returned to us on 30 August 2010 saying that it had been repaired and with the comment that “nothing more could be done about itâ€. However, even after the supposed repair the seats of the sofa are extremely wrinkled giving it a totally worn out and old appearance, despite the fact that it is a new sofa.
On 23 September 2010 an Email was sent to Customer Service and Sales at the E-mail addresses mentioned on the Usha Furniture website. However, no response was received for 15 days. Later, I telephonically talked at the Usha Furniture head office with Mr Parvinder Rana who accepted that the E-mail had been received. He assured that a production executive would visit our house. However, even after continuous phone calls to Mr Rana and repeated assurances no action was taken. Another E-mail was sent on 22 October 2010 but again no response was received.
Finally, a registered letter was sent to M/s Usha Lexus at their Naraina Office on 28 October 2010 after which we were assured that Mr Rajesh would visit our house.
Finally, Mr Rajesh visited our house on 9 November 2010 and after inspecting the sofa promised to reply within 24 hours, which he did not.
Today (15 November 2010), on telephoning M/s Usha Lexus office at Naraina, he simply stated that wrinkles would appear on the sofa and that nothing could be done about it. I am not satisfied with the answer. This is not the type of product I expect after spending almost Rs 55,000/- for a reputed branded furniture. If as mentioned by the production staff of M/s Usha Lexus nothing can be done about the problem I would like M/s Usha Lexus to take back the sofa set and refund me the amount spent on it.
An email communication has been sent to USHA Lexus on November 15, 2010, 12:00 pm
