Indian Railways - Waitlisted e ticket are not cancelled after train chart perperation

Complaint by: Vishnu Garg on April 15, 2010, 5:15 pm in Government and Police

Earlier wait listed tickets are canceled through online even after chart preparation, Now i am not able to cancel my E.-Tickets through online after chart has been prepared. This is the serious error/change i have noticed in Indian railway site.

This is serious concern as customers who are booking their e-ticket online, will be able to know their confirm status only after chart preparation as there is no update on the booking status before that. This will result into the loss of pay although railways claims that they will automatically cancel these tickets and refund the amount into customer account automatically. Now in last six months i never got any refund where is lost more than 2000 rupees.

Complainant's Goal: To request for change of railway Policy for booking e tickets
Complainant's Target: Indian Railways
