I recharged my number (********48) today for Rs. 67.00 for availing the free sms service (15,000 messages). I got a message from the number 3891 saying that the number has been recharged and the talk-time is Rs.59.00. I called the number 198 to check if my number is recharged for free message or talk-time.
A lady named ASHWINI PANCHAL answered the call. who was extremely rude right from the opening of the call. When I told her the issue, she said that she is unable to see any recharge being done on my number. I said that I did it just now, to which she replied that "I feel you haven't done any recharge at all and calling just like that." This **** me off. I asked for a supervisor. The reply was "KAAHE KE LIYE". I SAID AS SHE IS UNABLE TO RESOLVE MY QUERY, I WANT TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR. SHE REPLIED "REMEMBER, YOU ARE TALKING TO A CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE. AND AS YOU ARE TALKING VERY RUDELY TO ME, I M DISCONNECTING THE CALL" and hung up.
Highly upset, I called again and a man named Gyaneshwar answered the call. I again asked for a supervisor. However I was told that no supervisor is available on the floor. I said that I am ready to hold the line. But the agent seemed to be adamant and reiterated that there is no supervisor and will not be available for the next 4 hours. Having no choice I explained the situation to him, to which he showed no signs of empathy and instead just informed that the recharge has been done and the service will start within 4 hours. Also on asking as to why didnt the previous agent informed me the same he said "You are asking me the same question again and again. Hence, i am disconnecting the call."
I called the number 198 again and this time I found another nerd named Ramkishan. For a change, he apologised and gave me the corrrect information. On asking him for a supervisor, again I was told that none is available. On asking him for an email address to lodge a complaint, I was kept on hold for around 10 minutes and then given the company's email address. This agent went a step further to add that "Aapko ek hi baat baar-baar batani pad rahi hai."
Is this what is caaled as "CUSTOMER CARE?" I am extremely disappointed that the lack of basic courtesy and mannerisms. The language used by ASHWINI PANCHAL is fit to be called "rowdy and cheap." The other two agents were equally useless.
It seems that your agents have been taught to behave rudely with customers, not to hand-over the calls to supervisors even after repeated requests from the customer and also to disconnect the call, as per their own whims and fancies.
I am aware that pre-paid customer are being cared for two hoots by Idea. However, this cannot be denied that pre-paid customers too contribute to the revenue of the company. Ignoring their complaints will do no good to the company.
Please do something about this or elae there are many other service providers available in the market. The customers are spoilt for choices. With such dismal level of customer service and such mannerless agents, the customer won't lose anything, but the company will surely lose "some" business.
