I had used hathway for 1 month (Account no: 590608) and found the performance of internet is very poor. So i terminated the connection on 29th March 2010. I submitted my modem on the same day and asked for the refund of deposit money Rs 1000. Person from hathway told me that you will receive a cheque within a month and if it got delayed they will give interest on the money as late refund.
It's been 6 months i've tried to get the money back but everytime i called them they told me they are processing.
Few days back i got a call from them, that the cheque is arrived at Mulund hathway office. I went there and waited for 1 hr. After that a cheque of Rs. 578 was offered to me. When i asked them that i want Rs 1000 back, the person from hathway talked very rudly and told that the cheque payment is not his duty and contact with Andheri branch person.
When i asked to connect the call and i need to talk to that Andheri branch person, he refused to connect the call and talked very badly before all customers.
After that i called that Andheri branch person MR. Karnik from my mobile and asked for clarification. He told me you have not paid the bill of April 2010 thats why we deduct the money from your deposit amount. I told them that i ve receipt of submission of modem and termination of internet connection on 29 March 2010 then how can you charge me for April 2010. He told me to submit the receipt at Mulund hathway and then he will see ... i told them i cannot come again and again to the office and your Mulund branch will be having the copy of receipt and they have verified the same that on 29th March modem was submitted. After that also Mr. Karnik talked with me very badly. I'm still awaiting my refund money.
