- I am a Prepaid Customer of IDEA. I use the RC96 GPRS service which I recharge every month on the 15th. However, without any alert or message, my GPRS charges were being deducted from my talktime and I discovered this only when, on the 29th of April 2011, one of my calls dropped with a message saying that I was out of talk time. when I called IDEA customer service the same day, they said that this happened due to an error with their servers and that this problem would be rectified by 3 pm April 30th.
I never received any call or message and had called the customer service on the 30th April only to find out that they will be able to resolve this issue by 2nd of April. When I urged the agent on the phone to transfer me over to a supervisor, he put me on hold and after waiting for about 21 minutes, the call hung up on me. When I called them back to request a temporary credit to my talk time, they said it has to go through to the finance department and would not be possible.
This is an absolutely pathetic company with no credibility feigning superiority over other mobile providers by hiring 3rd grade movie stars in television ads. I am definitely switching over to BSNL or some other operator which doesn't have any pretense in the way they go about conducting their business.
Thanks
Srikanth
