I hold an HP LPG (Household) gas connection. My consumer no is 610994.My SV no is 1004126

I am writing this mail to bring to notice the rude and threatening behavior made to me by the HP gas Vendor M/S CN Upadhayyay gas agency at Baroda (Sama area).Dealer code 11766100
I had gone there on the 18-Jan-2011 for a reconnection of my HP gas cylinder(as i have recently shifted to Baroda).

First there so called Manager charged 1893/- Rs for reconnection. When i started enquiring about the break up.
There was item of hot plate added to it without my consent or approval. When i objected to it being included in my bill.
The manager of gas agency got agitated and said if this continues how will i earn money and we have pressure from TOP(presumably HP) to sell these items .
He also threatened to withdraw the cylinder which was given to me and then finally he reduced the bill to 1518/- Rs

I picked up his calculator to do the summation to which he again objected and got angry & continued with his insulting behavior i.e not allowing anyone to put the cylinder in my vehicle .

And the whole irony of the situation is that the proprietor of the gas agency Mr Amit C Upadhyaya was sitting there all the time , either he does not care or has no control over his employees. I have also made a complaint regarding this at HP customer care on the 18-Jan-2011.My complaint no is 10041765.


I beg to highlight the poor customer focus exhibited by this vendor am sure an esteemed company like HP does concentrate on customer requirements and catering to his needs.

I am sure many consumers like me must have faced harassment from these gas distributors and these problems can be streamlined & resolved through implementation of ERPs.
I have also written a mail to Mr Ketan Karnik (Regional Manager-Gujarat) regarding this.

Due to this i detest going to the vendor again. because of the rude behavior meted out to me.
These gas distributors are running there own local kingdom as LPG is an essential commodity and the common man has no choice but beg to them and pay to whatever they demand.

And now i have applied for a refill cylinder on the 28-Feb-2011.But i have not recieved it till now.Maybe it is a form of harassment to the consumer who do not oblige to his overcharging.

Dear Sir, Maine Vimal Gas service Sukkhipur Jaunpur me DBC Connection ke liye pichle 4 Mahine se apply kar raha hoo. aur maine 4-5 baar online complian bhi kiya tha. par koi reply nahi aaya.. Dear sir jab ye online facility se koi kaam nahi hone wala. to ye facility company kyu provide karti hai.
