I bought a samsung galaxy on8 on 1/4/2017 whose basic warranty was to end on 31/3/2018.
On 23rd march 2018 i saw extended warranty mobile care pack being sold on samsung shop website with delivery timeline of 7-10 days.It was written that the code will be sent by email.I called up customer care on 23rd march 2018of samsung and connected to the shop department to whom i told my problem and asked them if they could send me the code via email as if it is delivered within 7-10days my warranty would expire.
The agent assured me that even if the extended care pack reaches me late they will arrange it that my extended care pack gets registered for my phone as i have purchased the care pack before my warranty ends
After this conversation(i have voice recording)i ordered the product same day and it was delivered via email on 4th april 2018(3 days after my warranty ends).
I called samsung on 6th april 2018 to shop department and they told me that yes sir we are transferring you to care department where they will register your product.The care department told that it is not possible to register your extended warranty pack as the product is out of basic warranty.They transferred to senior who told me that sir according to company rules you can only get extended warranty for a product which is in warranty.I told them regarding my conversation with samsung shop following which they told that samsung shop may tell you anything but we cant update warranty..
Now tell me what to do??..
Samsung shop agent told me to buy the product and they will look into the matter..Now they cannot do anything.They gave me false assurances
