i had the following experience with Sangita travels.
My complaints are
1. exorbitant charges Rs. 1150 for a seater bus, (not sleeper)
2. same seat given to many people (poor management)
3. the temperature in the bus at 14 degree, which they could not change on request
4. absolutely no reply from sangita for the multiple complaint letters i sent
I am attaching a copy of teh final letter i sent to Sangia travels
Dear Sangita travels officials,
PNR SGTMGTY24752836. TC8D******** date of travel 18th July. Now it is exactly one month since i had been trying to contact and get an answer after my horrible journey in Sangita travels. If you still fail to reply me, i will be forced to go to consumer courts.
i am now re-sending a complaint i had sent. unfortunately, when your office (080 41144637) they did not mention the . before st in the email. so my mails got bounced. now i repeat the complaint with the corrected email id. please respond with what you can do for this.
I got a ticket in sangita, to travel from TCR (bypass) to Chennai, on18th July, 2010, for a net cost of RS. 1170. (surely exorbitant for a paltry push back seated bus). I boarded the bus at trichur after a prolonged waiting. i boarded and was allowed to sit at my reserved seat no. 29. At Coimbatore another 2 people came and said, 29 and 30 are their reserved seats. I verified the tickets and found to be so. finally i had to go to another seat, which i did not want to sit at. i asked for a front seat to those conductor of the bus. though there were seats free, which they filled rounding and rounding in Coimbatore, none of those front seats were given to me. I want an explanation from you for my seat being given to another one too.
there were multiple such complaints and the conductors were openly saying that too. they were instructing the passengers to sit wherever there was a seat. but when i asked for a front seat they did not allow me too.
The temperature in the bus was 14.2 degrees. Even before reaching Coimbatore, i had complained to the conductor and driver of it, and they could not raise the temperature. they did not know how to do it. After leaving Coimbatore, they provided some short blankets measuring roughly 3 x 4 feet. i had to wear multiple layers on me 3 shirts and 2 banians over which another one blanket of mine put like a big shawl. the blanket supplied could give cover to my legs only. all thru the night i was finding difficult to breathe and the driver in spite of my request for a supper break, did not do so. having reached Chennai, i suffered from fever and severe throat infection.
the ticket was collected by the conductor and driver and in spite of our asking they did not return them. now you are asking me to submit the ticket. how can i get another print out of it from the net. you should instruct me on this.
my seat no. was 29 and my name is George A K. now you may be able to find out which number bus and which driver and conductor were in it and so on.
i need explanation/compensation for the following
1. same seat 29. being given to multiple persons
2. the exorbitant cost of 1150 + 20 for a push back seat in an AC bus
3. keeping the temperature inside the bus at 14 degrees
4. allowing the some body who does not even know how to set the temperature to drive and conduct the bus
5. i suffered from fever and severe throat infection, for which i had to to for treatment
expecting an answer
George
