We bought a washing machine on 2nd oct. The spin tub was not stopping when we opened the cover. We lodged a complaint & the technician told the brake is worn out. When we asked how the brake got worn out in only within a week, there was no explanation. He informed there is no warranty on brakes.
Called up customer care (1********11) & they advised to call up the technician's supervisor. Called up the supervisor (********11) & he informed that if we allow water to the spin tub during spinning godrej washing machine brakes donot last. We want to know is this written somewhere in the warranty doc that water should not be used in spin tub? There is instruction for RINSE which says to allow water to the spin tub for rinsing. The same was not informed even during purchase.
This is a typical case of harrassment after purchase of consumer appliances. We had a good opinion about Godrej. But after this episode it is hard to believe that Godrej is any different from other Indian companies who believe in just fooling customers.
