Complaint by: sanjay on October 18, 2010, 12:38 pm in Indian Railways

Last week I was travelling from Patna to Chennai by 2670 Sanghamitra express, when the train reached Ara station at 9:30 Pm a very large group of men, women and even few children boarded the reserved compartments of the train few had ordinary tickets meant to board only unreserved compartments but most of them did not even have any tickets which was totally illegal, when asked these hooligans said that they were going to Maihar (M.P) which was a 12 hour journey from the place these people boarded and without any shame they said that the MAATA had given them the tickets(for free) to visit her temple, we were facing such a harrowing time that leave alone sleeping we were even unable to sit properly due to the influx of such a large group of ticketless travelers, a couple of stations later an even bigger crowd boarded the train but luckily they got down in couple of hours, how come people visiting holy places begin their journey by fooling the government(not buying tickets),then putting to severe inconvenience people like us who had paid the money to board the trains, we had to travel a distance of almost 2368 kilometers in 42 hours. The law and order in Bihar has always been a very questionable one and it is more visible in the trains running through the state and the railways ministry knowing the ground reality of Bihar should take adequate steps to control such situations from happening. The railways should take proper and adequate steps to make passengers of all trains long or short distances comfortable,it is high time the railways gives much more attention on safety, security, comfort, cleanliness and punctuality of the trains.
