On July 19th 2013, two sales executives of “The Hindu†newspaper gave me a offer of Rs 333 for 1 year subscription of “The Hindu†newspaper and a free bag.
I subscribed for the offer on the same day (July 19th), by my credit card and they gave me a free bag instantly,.

Sales executive Not responding
I have been calling the executive who signed me up for this offer.His number is ********26, Name is Manju..
Since Aug 1st and everytime i call him he says it comes tmw and other excuses. He does not call me or gives me any update. I myself have to call him everyday to get update but now he isnt responding. He does not answer my call now. Its been 13 days already and no update from the executive or from the Concerned Dept.
Customer care Not responding
I have also called the customer care number 1********505 but they wont answer my call.
I fear that i have been scammed.I am going to file a consumer complaint for breach of SLA. Please dont fall into this trap, they wont listen to you after you paid for the subscription.

Adding to the list of complains,I also experienced the same regarding an year subscription of The Hindu newspaper. The vendor collected cheque worth amount 333/- (last year,September 2013) addressing Kasturi and Son,and after a month of newspaper delivery he vanished and with this phone number not reachable till date.

I would like to bring this to everyone notice that a agent by name Devaraj (Cell # ********50) had collected a Cheque of Rs 444 on 25th January 2014 for a Hindu Bangalore subscription period of 6 months.
Devaraj's verbal commitment for Date of commencement was from 1st Feb 2014, but I haven't received paper till date. Even as per Terms & Conditions, date of commencement should at least start from next cycle (16th Feb 2014) but I haven't received any papers till date.
Is this a new fraud of collecting amount and cheating customers?
Kind request for everyone, not to trust Hindu subscriptions at Bangalore

your issue resolved ??? I have mailed/called to The Hindu and nothing happened yet.
In Nov month , two guys came and I have been told that there is a issue with distributors of newspaper and they hold a meeting and it is being resolved now.
But even today I have not received newspaper.

Formally submitted a complaint after many addressal of the issue to the Newspaper agency and the authority who took the order for the 1 year subscription of "The Hindu" Newspaper. We have ordered this particular subscription in the month of August and was told the issue of paper will begin from August 16th, and later was told September 1st. On continual complaints to the agency and the distributing authority we received the paper in the month of October for a period of 3 days, and was again told there is no free copy to be delivery by the Agency.
Please do the needful.

I am from Kumaraswamy layout 2nd stage, Bangalore. Hindu news paper agents approached me saying that they give Bag and news paper for one year subscription at Rs. 333. I have given the cheque for Rs. 333 but I am not getting news paper from past 1 month. I have learnt the lesson from these issues that I should be careful about these offers.
Same is the case for me as well..they have collected the cheque and given me a bag the next week...but waiting for "the Hindu" for last 2 months
all employee like a fraud. i will give a advertise in times of india. the hindu is doing like this
I have been facing same issue. My subscription was to start from Sep, till now I havent received a single copy. My vendor threatens to me saying he will not give Hindu if i stop my current news paper.
Oh god ....i have also paid 333/- to these guys just in mid f september...n dey promised f delivering newspaper by oct 1st...now m calling...byt they hv barred all calls

I have opted yearly subscribe for THE HINDU news paper from July '13 onwards. i have not received the newspaper till date. There is no response from your side even I escalated to your executive & your Hindu office

go to the respective address given on the slip and hunt them down...approach them with aggression.
do mail me back when the issue is resolved.

I have subscribed for the door delivery of The Hindu news paper through a special scheme (Rs. 333 for 1 year subscription) in Bangalore on Aug 1, 2013 and paid Rs. 333 through a check to the collection person and through the order copy BG043841. They also promised to give a free bag and assured that the subscription will start from Aug 16, 2013. It is more than 45 days and neither are we getting the news paper nor the free gift promised. Despite repeated calls to the toll free number of The Hindu mentioned in the order form and also their contact agent, no action has been taken. I request them to take immediate action for the above order and ensure smooth supply of the news paper. It is a very pathetic subscription management and complaint system that this news paper has.

This is Kr Vaidyanathan here. I had also subscribed for Hindu one year subscription. I was residing at nagarbhavi before, getting the newspaper was a big problem and I had to wait outside my house to ensure that the paper was handed over to me by the vendor. The supply was very irregular and was not prompt at all. Recently I moved to my new residence at Kr puram with an assurance from Hindu that I will be getting my paper regularly at mg new residence. Even after one month of follow up and giving them umpteen number of complaints I haven't yet got a single supply of the newspaper. I even helped them with the contact details of the agent near my area. I did all the home work and spoon feeding irrespective of that there has been no response. Kudos! Hindu has found a new way to loot money. They are merely day time robbers. I am doing this to make people aware of this day time robbery done by Hindu.. Dear citizens do not subscribe for Hindu paper and help others in avoiding such miscreants from looting money from the general public.
