I am a resident of Chennai and frequently travel to Chennai and Erode on respective trains both during day and night

The railway staff get into the reserved compartments and even though they don’t occupy reserved seats, they create nuisance by blocking access to the toilets and compartment doors. Any amount of complaint to the TTE is of no avail. I understand that people who are working in government and earning HRA/CCa has to live in respective cities or otherwise they are not entitled to HRA/CCA. While the staff abuse the system and travel from places as far as Katpadi and further, they also create a lot of inconvenience to reserved passengers. No complaints can be registered as the complaint register is available only with the Guard in the train.. They don’t even leave the A/c compartments and even in the night, including trains like yercaud express.

I suggest the following

1. Separate Complaint and maintenance register be made available with the respective TTEs. The respective travellers will be able to identify the repairs in each compartments which otherwise is difficult for the maintenance staff to locate. Also a system to give feedback to the complainant regarding the action taken would be very much required.
2. Invariably all compartments including A/c does have a cockroach menace, Why don’t the general manager travel in one such a thing and see the things for himself.
3. Heavy penalty for littering inside trains
4. Intermittent passengers should not be allowed to get inside the reserved compartments. No railway staff should be allowed inside reserved compartments
5. A periodic surprise checking of the address proof of the Railway staff in the given address in respective cities, will help curtail this abuse.
6. A proper fumigation system to counter the cockroach and if required get help outside of railways

I hope some good sense will prevail with teh General Manager of Southern railway in resolving these issues

i watch the all railway stations, in the ticket booking office workers are not respects to the passengers, they through the balance amounts to catch to passengers, we are not shamful for that. stupids.
