Never knew that TataIndicom doesn't believe in prompt service. My parents had a Tataindicom walky landline connection in Kolkata.
It was issued in the name of my mother Mrs. Bandana Ghosh who is a senior citizen.
Details : A/c-********9, Del no.********
My parents are very senior citizens and not very tech-savvy. Bill payment was getting increasingly difficult. So they surrendered this phone in May, 2011.The instrument was taken away finally on 12May 2011. vide memo no. NW-32807.Equipment Return Note.Subsequent telephonic exchanges between my father and TataIndicom staff comfirmed that the amount due(Rs. 765)will refunded within a couple of months.
The last bill.no 1024680890 with the bill period 9.5.2011-8.5.2011 shows amount due as Rs. -765.
A complaint was raised on TataIndicom website in August and my father received sms on his mobile-********18 from Tataindicom acknowledging the same and promising to sort the issue by 3rd September 2011.
They still haven't got the refund. Being very senior citizen on one meagre pension, they are very worried and that is affecting their health.
I fail to understand why an organisation fails to keep its promises, why an organisation takes more than 4 months to pay a refund when they are very prompt in collecting whatever is due to them....Why harras helpless senior citizens? Why such an apathy? What happened to customer service? Or does the company not believe in keeping commitments with those who are not customers anymore?
