Commute in Chennai city is becoming increasingly difficult because of the following reasons,

1. No adequate Traffic Signs and Warnings
2. No Speed Limit posts. Half the people travelling on the roads are overspeeding.
3. Faulty traffic lights which doesnt function.
4. Half completed Govt road projects, many roads left dug, dangerous road blocks and barricades placed by police themselves in the middle of the road are few important causes of accidents.
5. Vehicles not following pollution standards. Most Government buses and vehicles are the main pollution causes. Nobody cares about vehicles blowing tonnes of smoke on the roads.
6. Overloaded buses, autos, cars, even two wheelers...

The above problems not only exist in chennai but in all Indian Cities.

It has become like the Government is expecting the people to bear all theses difficulties and still commute. No Government wing is seemingly interested in improving the traffic standards and infrastructure. Every person pays a huge price as road tax and tolls which ultimately reaches the Government. The Government of India should take measures to protect its citizens who commute on the roads ensuring their safety and ease.
