ICICI Lombard - negligence from icici ombard general insurance

I purchased a policy from icici lombard last year (policy no. 3001/53683197/00/000)
To get it renew I deposited all the required documents dated 18th march 2009 .i purchased the policy through credit card. I was provided with the documents policy no. 3001/53683197/01/000 . After 2 months when my car got damaged I called customer care for intimation they told me that my policy is lapsed since March. I did not received any information through phone email or anything regarding lapsation of my policy .I made a complain to icici lombard (complain id 004-656-208) they said it will get renewed within 5 days but nothing happened then I made a complain to higher level On 3/06/09 I received a call from himangi joshi from no.022-24924662 mumbai office she apologized and told me that amount was not hit by from their side she said that she will consult her seniors and inform me. Then she told me that they will renew the policy only after the surveys tell me one thing how can there be a survey of a damaged car. Due to negligence from icici lombard I have to bear a loss of 50,000 rs .I have provided them with Every vital information they have asked for. Now suggest me what I shall do ……………………………
