Dear Mr Subodh Kumar ,
You have taken on the act of going after builders and not approving building plans asking for concessions . Is there a single project in Mumbai that does not ask for concessions ?
What is the impact of your actions ? many projects (almost all) have come to a grinding halt . Who is finally suffering ? is it the builder ? no it is the common man who has put his life savings in the house .
We know you wish to clean up the mess created by builders by misusing concessions , do that but not at the cost of the people who are not at fault .
We were squeezed when there was loading , we are squeezed when there is lower supply , we will be squeezed when projects halt .. only we suffer . I hope you feel the pain of someone who puts his/her life earning to buy a home.
Can you not give a future date from when new proposals will have to follow norms but all the proposals that are with you you clear them unless there are gross voilations ? work on a transtion rather than a shock because shock does not impact the builder it impacts the common man .
Alos please be aware of the impact of your actions , as supply goes down property prices will go up . Who will bear the burden ? will it be the builder ? or will it be the customer ?
We are with you in cleaning up the system but do it in a way that helps the common man , the person who is buying a house in Mumbai . Help to reduce home prices so that we can stay in the city.
I support this complaint.
