One fine day I opened infibeam.com and was delighted to see an ad on their homepage. It said that I would get a Rs.50 cashback if I recharge my prepaid mobile connection through their website. I promptly clicked the link hoping to avail the offer. It then showed me a list of recharge options which were pretty much in sync with the ones displayed in airtel website. Hence I proceeded with a recharge of Rs.200. Usually if I do the same recharge through airtel website, I get a full talktime for Rs.200 and the same information was displayed on infibeam website too. But once I finished the transaction, I got only Rs.175 credited to my balance! I then immediately checked if the promised cashback Rs.50 is added to my wallet and it is not!
I thought there must be some technical issue because of which this might have happened and I wrote immediately to infibeam. Now this is the timeline of my correspondence with them.
July 18 -- The day I recharged.
July 18 -- Filed complaint
July 19 -- Got the first response from them saying they will work on it. (I was pretty happy)
July 29 -- It has been 10 days and I dint get any response! So I wrote them again asking for update
Aug 01 -- Got the reply for the mail I wrote on July 29. No update though. They just said they are working on it.
Aug 17 -- Marks the completion of 1 month since I filed the issue. No response from them. So I sent another mail asking for update.
Till date there was no reply to my Aug 17 mail. Nor was there any update on the issue.
