Hi I bought the whirlpool refrigerator on 31st jan2010. Within one month i got problem with the product. I called whirlpool customer care and ask for the replacement for the product as i doubted a product failure within one month will be a defective product. But whirlpool didn't listen to me as they have the procedure of directing the request to the service center.A person (Sridhar ) came and filled the gas and it started working but i was requesting for the new product and there was no response from them for that. They said it is only possible when there is a major problem. I bought this product for cooling purpose. If that is not working then it is a major problem as a customer point. For me i don't bother whether the compressor is gone or a switch gone. My concern is it didn't work so my money is wasted. Then again after some month it didn't work. Same person came and did some thing behind the fridge and it started working .He said there is no problem with the product but the Stabilizer is dripped due to Voltage fluctuation.How come there is a drip only in my home when there is no problem for other flats in the same apartment. Even i am using the whirlpool stabilizer which they recommended as i know they will blame the stabilizer if i would have put other brand stabilizer.Now again last week ie like end of July it didn't work. First one person(Sakthivel) came and then he also did some thing behind the product and it started working.Fridge started cooling and he said its working but with 30minutes ice started melt down and it didn't work.Again another person came and said there is a problem in the relay switch that is a failure in this model so replacing that will fix the problem permanently. He replaced and again the fridge started cooling and he asked for the satisfaction code i said him to wait as we are not sure whether it is really working.He left within 30 min and asked me to give the satisfaction code within 1 hr after confirmation.But the fridge didn't work and i didn't give the satisfaction code when he called me. I asked the chennai service centre (raghuram) for replacement but he always said they will some senior engineer for that.Then i asked for the head office number and he gave Mr Karthik number but when my wife called karthik he said he will get back to us but there is no response.then called customer care and got the manager (ramesh) number and again he said he will be sending sridar. But iam asking for my my money refund or product replacement. I am planning to file a case against whirlpool on this as there is proper response from them. I have a sony music system but i used to get a very good response from i will never suggest whirlpool to anyone. Whirlpool doesn't know the worth of customers. waiting for your reply to proceed further.

I support this complaint. My fridge I bought last july 30th having the same problem. It is just waste of money on buying product from whirpool.

Could you please suggest procedure to raise a consumer compliant on this as there is not a proper respect and response from whirlpool.Service center people are saying they will not do replacement and customer care is saying if u want to raise compliant,get the address given in web.They are not at all worried about customers.Anyone please guide on this.

Thanks for the suggestion. Iam trying to contact higher official but i am not getting any contact info of them. Customer care executives always saying that they have forwarded my problem to the senior people but still there no solution on this as the service center people are not ready to accept their mistakes and keep on sending people for the repair and convincing thate there is no problem in the product to go for replacement but they are also no fixing the problem.
I am of the opinion that You have to write your complaint in detail and address it to the the Higher Officials in customer care they may look into your problem seriously.

every year @1000 or more Rs. i am paying for repair as well gas filling
also replaced switch on 30/12/2010 and i have paid Rs 450 rs for switch and 225 Rs for service charge total 675 Rs paid.
every year i am paying that much amount so i your product not reliable so do need for as possible as fast
