With utmost regret I wish to inform you that I had raised the above case about 20+ days back and was suppose to receive an answer
from the Apple Support on the same.

Having experienced this, no wonder that the sheen of the company is already get diminished with every passing day.

I purchased iPad3 - 3G+wifi in Nov.12. The usage of iPad has been pretty nominal in these 15 months and was totally satisfied with
the product, until one day in last week of Feb.14, I realised the iPad does not boot up. Tried resetting the same, dint work, finally worked only while it was connected to the Charger.

I visited the Authorised dealer and explained my problem and to my surprise I was straight away being told that either pay 22k for replacement or just forget about this iPad.

This is the worst ever reply I have come across at a service centre.

Post this I received a feedback call, where I expressed my concern to, and was told to wait for 15days and I shall get a reply - which again no heed was paid to.

This is the last step which I am taking to have the problem heard before I move to consumers forum.

My experience with Apple India Customer Service is exactly the same i.e. most unpleasant and unsatisfactory.

I had this iPad 2 (WiFi / White /16GB / Serial No. F5RLNYL2DKPH) around six months ago. Recently, nearly a month ago the OS was updated and after that all of a sudden it started giving display problems like vertical / horizontal lines on its display. Sometimes, it returned to normal display but off late there has been no display except those rainbow lines. Yesterday, I took it to the local Apple Authorised Service Center (M/s Info Solutions & Services (P) Ltd) here at Ranchi, Jharkhand for repair.

Today, they have informed me that the iPad is neither repairable nor it could be replaced as there is small dent in the left bottom corner. Now, this is highly unreasonable as the iPad was working fine even with that small dent. I have been a Apple user since long and have never ever faced such a unpleasant situation. This is sheer cheating on part of Apple as the device is still under warranty for eligible hardware repairs till December 12, 2014. It is beyond any reasonable logic.

Now, I can understand why Apple market share in India is not taking up as they have made India the Dumping Ground of its defective devices as well as most unsatisfactory "After sales service".
