I have applied for a Home Loan through IDBI Bank site and Mr Debabrata Ghosh an employee of IDBI Home Finance contacted me on 10 November 2008. In my discussion with him I have clearly informed him the salary I get and also told that the registration will be done during last week of April 2009. As per my salary he told that a amount of Rs850000 will be given at present but as my salary increase he will make sure that sanctioned amount will also increase to cover my requirement of Rs1080000 as IDBI gives 90% of the property price and 90% of the registration cost.
Based on his promised I moved ahead with the process. He made me meet Mr Dipak with whom I had discussion regarding my Loan. He informed that a Loan of Rs 730000 will be sanctioned at the rate of 12% pa. I confirmed from him if this amount can be increased later and he also said that as salary increase the amount will also increase. He also informed that a Gurantor will be required but Mr Debabrata Ghosh told me he will remove this condition after speaking to his sales manage and Mr Dipak made me signed a white paper which was not official where this condition was mentioned. After taking the processing fees of Rs 8203 I was given conditions that I need to provide guarantor to process my application which was given in official bank letter head. I have clearly informed Mr Ghosh that I am not ready to provide any guarantor and I did not signed the acceptance of that official Santioned Letter, then he promised that he will remove this condition.
Now it was time to do the legal formalities and Mr Ghsoh provided me bank lawyer Mr Amitava Chakraborty who has prepared my Sales Agreement and searching report. In that sales agreement it was clearly mentioned that if the registration is not done before 1st May 2009 then I will be bound to pay Rs 50000 to the landlord and the agreement will be cancelled. Based on Mr Ghosh promise I accepted the condition and paid Rs 100000 to the landlord. After the agreement certain other legal formalities was done for which Mr Ghosh has taken total of Rs 7200 without providing any receipt. Later when my salary increased I provided him the revision letter so that the loan amount can be enhanced and he told me to wait till the interest rate is reduced than he will process the application. I agreed with him and waited. I started regular follow up with Mr Ghosh to process my application so that it could be processed before 30th April 09 without any problem. On 15th April 2009 he came with a sales deed and gave me a copy of the same. On 23rd April I tried calling his mobile but it was switched off. Than on 24th April I called up his office and found that he was terminated due to some fraud done by him. The same day I visited the office and found all the promise made by him was false and he has cheated me. I had already given a complaint regarding the same but no action has been taken till now. I also came to know that customer contribution has increased to 25% previously it was 10% and IDBI has not given any information for the same. At last moment IDBI Home Finance has refused with all the promise done by his employee.
Mr Debabrata Ghosh has been simply terminated without any action and we as a customer had to bear all the losses. Now when we are approaching the bank to fulfill the promise made by him then no one is ready to listen to us and is giving clarification which is not up to the mark. I have also noticed that IDBI is asking for guarantor which I have clearly mentioned before that I am not in a position to provide the same.
I have visited number of times to your branch requesting you to process my application without any guarantor and also to provide 90% of the loan amount as we were not given any intimation for the changed made. Also note that I have not accepted any condition mentioned in the sanctioned letter and if you are not able to process my loan than you are requested to refund the processing fees of Rs 8203 that has been paid via cheque. Also to inform that I had to pay Rs 50000 to the landlord as per the agreement and IDBI and his employee is totally responsible for the same. You are requested to bear the loss incurred to me because of IDBI Home Finance Ltd.

APPALLING BEHAVIOUR OF BRANCH MANAGER
Dear Sir/Madam,
First, I wish to introduce myself. I am Col K L Jaspal. I am a seventy years old soldier and as per Govt. declaration I come in the category of senior citizen. Presently I am at Hyderabad.
I wanted to speak to the respectable manager at about 1600hrs 0n 18 Sep 2010. I was most disappointed, discontented, dissatisfied, disappointed, embittered, and frustrated to hear from the staff of the bank that the honorable manger of IDBI Delhi Br does not spare a few seconds to talk to the customers. The person refused to give me mob number or email address of the Branch manager as per person’s instructions. The Branch Manager of Delhi branch seems to be so senior and more important than the top men of the nation and feels below his/her dignity to talk to any one, may he be senior citizen or any one and speaking from any where. I feel such person, whosoever one may be, and whatever the gender be, is definitely not fit for such an elite post/job as per my feeling. In case such persons still remain, it is the God alone who can still bless the organization. Nevertheless God bless the organization and the person concern.
I am sorry for writing such words. All the same, I pray to the Almighty to give him/her wisdom to conduct as a normal person.
Thanks.
Yours Sincerely,
Col K L Jaspal.
Mob No. 0********64.
