-On 11/6/11, HDFC Life Insurance Co. Ltd. Gomti Nagar Lucknow branch has issued my Policy Bond, vide their Policy No.14376936; for Rs=2,00,000/- against the payment of single premium.
-As per account statement attached with the said policy bond, the deductions made by the company were not matching with terms mentioned in the policy bond.
-I approached the company's representative / law officer Mr. Harsh Mishra for clarifying the details. They promised to visit my place, but despite repeated promises they neither came to me nor had given any clarification on disputed points.
-After waiting for more than a fortnight, I decided not to continue my said policy and on 09/07/11, I returned the original policy bond in their issuing branch, alongwith my written complaint about the deceiving behavior of the company.
-The said policy bond was returned to the company within agreed FREE LOOK PERIOD of 30 days from the date of receiving the policy bond, with the request to cancel the said policy and refund my funds immediately.
-Lot of correspondence has been exchanged between the company & me and finally the company has refused to cancel my said policy.
-The company has neither reimbursed my medical check-up expenses nor rectified the illegally recovered charges nor acceded my request to cancel my said policy within free look period.
