Apple India - Harassment at Authorized Service Center of Apple Air Macbook

Had telephonic talks with customer care executive on  23/7/16 and 27/7/26, with case ID 11******** regarding issues with Mac Book Air not booting immediately after taking an update. After repeated unsuccessful trials, as guided, was instructed to visit an authorized service center.
As instructed, visited the Service Center at Naraina, New Delhi on 28/7/16 (Receipt attached). After thorough inspection and examination by the technical staff there, it was reported that there was an issue with the Mother Board, which required replacement and estimated cost for the same would be Rs.42000/-. For this report, was charged with Rs.2500/-.

Since
- the Mac book was working fine before taking the update
- was barely one year and eight/nine months old 
- my son being a student and
- Rs.42000/- not a small amount,  I asked my son to write to Apple India for help. I had heard from my colleagues that they usually help out in such cases. No response was received to e-mails.

After unsuccessfully waiting for response, a friend was approached, who agreed to help and took the Mac Book to some professional known to him. He reinstalled the OS software. Mac Book worked fine and is working fine since then.

I, then repeatedly approached Apple Customer care and service center to raise the issue of wrong diagnosis and also offered laptop to verify that no hardware changes were made to bring it to working condition. They verified and acknowledged the same but refused to apologize and refund the charges already extracted. They even threatened that I may approach any forum but would not be able to get a favor since would never be able to prove the result of their diagnosis.

I raise this issue to:
1. Take up with the incompetent staff deputed at Service Center.
2. Take necessary corrective measures so that others do not face similar hardship due to incompetence of staff.
3. Obtain the refund of cost charged by Service Center for incorrect/inaccurate diagnosis and additional cost, as deemed fit,  for causing mental harassment, physical stress and additional charges borne due to this.
