Dear All,
This is to inform you that on August 17, 2012 I went to GKB Opticals to buy RGP Contact Lens for my wife, where Mr. Mullick (Store Manager) checked the eye-power and told that it'll take 10-12 days for the complete procedure of receiving the contact lens as RGP Lens are in low demand and that's why it takes long time to provide the same.
So, Mr. Mullick collect the old contact lens from us and told it'll be sent to their some lab for measurement, which took 7 DAYS (12 - 7 = 5 DAYS remaining). While taking the old contact lens, he told he will be calling us to inform when I can place the order. But I called him in middle of week to know the status and he said, measurement in-process. Finally, on August 23, 2012; he called us to inform that measurement has been done, we can come and pay an advance to further process. So I went on August 25, 2012 and paid Rs. 1000 as advance and place the order, then another guy named as Sandipan took the order and told, lens deliverable will took more than 7-10 days (5 + another 5 days). Still I requested them to deliver as soon as possible. He told, he will going to inform me.
To know the status of the delivery, I called on August 30, 2012 to Mr. Mullick, who told me that Sandipan will going to call me next morning and will inform the delivery details but no-one called.
So after waiting 2 Days for their call, finally on September 1, 2012, I only called them and told I am utterly frustrated and I want to cancel my order and my Rs.1000 as well as the old lens which he says NOT POSSIBLE and they going to deliver as per their schedule not depending on consumer's urgency as my wife is suffering a lot without the contact lens.
Now, I want justice, is this the way to treat with consumers, that even if the consumer is facing lot of problem without the contact lens??
