Ours is an area where the power outages are at its bare minimum. This UPS has hardly faced 3 or 4 power outages since it was bought. Earlier the UPS used to hardly work for a minute and turn off abruptly. Off late, i cannot even turn on my system with the UPS turned on (I have to use the Surge Safe line, Not the Surge + Power backup line). Its a piece of junk in my house that i use like a spike buster. If i dont get a replacement, I'll take it and throw it out on the road with a cliff note saying "Dont go for an APC UPS or we'll find urs lying here too"..
