I had bought food stuff from Inorbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai (MARS Food Court), for Rs. 196.00. With addition of VAT amount of 12.5%, which is Rs. 24.50, my total bill was supposed to be Rs. 220.50. But the machine itself while calculating the Grand Total rounded off the total amount to Rs. 221.00. As per logic, it should round off to nearest currency which is existent in market. Since 50 Paise is still in distribution, why charge extra 0.50 to all consumers???? I don\'t have craving for my 0.50. But why this injustice to all consumers??? With lots of people eating at this place, the food court must have done a fraud of thousands of rupees, which is neither the cost of food item, nor a tax. This mall is treated as one of the best and largest Malls in India, but petty thieves stealing from people.
Note: Even if we pay by Debit/credi card, we are charged Rs. 221.00.
