I own a BlackBerry Bold 9000 which I had received as a corporate gift in
November 2010. So, I don't possess a printed bill for the same.
But after 5 months of use the display LCD and trackball click gradually gave
up. So, now it does not work at all. To add to my woes, the people at
BlackBerry Help Centre in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi (INDIA) were actually very
'rudely' unhelpful in terms of behavior; which is so not expected of a
smartphone brand which caters to an elite market.
Coming back to my issue, since my device is surely under warranty why can't
it be checked via the serial no of the device instead of being so adamant
about the printed bill.?
Being such a reputed company, if a warranty matter as frivolous as this
can't be settled based on the serial no of any other unique ID of the
device, I would be doomed to spend a huge sum of money by repairing it
without the warranty cover. To add to that, I would surely have a very bad
reputation of the support available for any future buy.
An official reply is awaited on this.
