Complaint by: Praveendps on August 4, 2011, 5:38 pm in Indian Railways

Respected Sir/Madam,

This neednot be treated as a complaint, but this is the facts which i observed while i had gone along with my friend to book Train ticket at Vijayanagar / Govindarajanagar Satellite Booking Centre, Bangalore, during 18.00 to 19.15 hours on 3rd August 2011, not a crowded time.
I had asked for Reservation Forms at Counter no:3, but the booking clerk guided me to Counter no:2 for getting Blank Reservation forms. Here Blank Forms are not kept easily accessible to public.
Then after going to Counter 2 I asked for 3 forms as i had to book 3 Tickets, the gentleman at counter no 2 gave me only 2 Forms and told that you can used both the sides of the reservation form.
I filled one form for booking Ticket from Ernakulam to Bangalore in one Form and ticket was printed by the booking clerk at Counter 3 at 18.17Hours, PNR No: 443-1793770, Ticket No: 49210182, and by presenting the second form where one ticket for Travel from Ernakulam to Bangalore was mentioned and on the back side Bangalore to Ernakulam was mentioned. On seeing this the same booking clerk told me to cut one and mention it as return journey and she went for taking tea.
From 18.17 to 18.30, total booking clerks had closed the counters, details can be sorted from your server whether any ticket was booked/cancelled during the same time. After the Booking Clerk came back from tea, i presented the corrected form and upon this she was annoyed and she asked me to go back of the queue, stating that i had presented the second reservation form and arrogantly spoke to me that it is mentioned in the rules in the reservation form itself. So, i asked my friend who was standing alongwith me to book it on my behalf, on this she arrogantly started to speak loud and urged us that if we required the ticket we had to go back again in the queue which had grown longer during their tea break for all counters at the same time.
While standing in the queue, i had observed that the same lady had booked tickets over 2-3 Reservation forms as rush was less.
I asked her for the complaint book, which she refused to give and moreover, she stated that she would call the police as i was disturbing her. She being a lady I had given her due respect and myself being a government servant needn't want to indulge with police, as i'am new to bangalore.
After that since ticket was required, i stood in the another queue and booked the remaining two tickets, Tickets no: 49209524,49209525, PNR No: 413-1795950,413-1795978 respectively at 19.04 Hours.
Our both persons nearly one hour was lost, due to the arrogance of this lady booking clerk at Counter No: 3, Vijayanagar Satellite Booking Station.

This was my experience, Indian Railways being a Public Concern and employees being public servants should not treat public as servants.
