one of the worst institute with no placements and pathetic faculty and management.Parents are advised ,not even think about it.. They provide Distance certificate and they dont even bother to tell this to students. They send all the faculties to marketing.So most of the time dont even expect for regular classes. Force students to sell tickets and do marketing. Well if they can\'t then be prepare to deduct it from your caution money. Maximum HOD\'s and even Principals are having fake degrees and degrees under universities which are rated fake in UGC. They just force students to take placements in sales and marketing. Send every HM students to brutal CT(Casual Trainings) every other day by spoiling their classes and earn money through them and give students peanuts. They just target poor dependent students from Bihar and north-east and they even dont think twice while playing with their futures. PLZ PLZ PLZ dont kill ur nearest and dearest one\'s future.Its precious..l....

truly, NIAS is the worst college in KOLKATA. I'm a student of this college. i hv passed MBA in marketing but they do not give any campusing to me or my friends. so, I am requesting to all the parents that not to take admission their sons to this worst & cheat college.
Sprawling campus??? out of 9 floors they have slowly given up so many floors as they cant pay the rent. the building is on lease and not even theirs. the chairman comes from the back gate else the lenders keep on asking for the money.Lecture rooms don't have any modern facilty,state of art campus which they say are all bluff, even all the ACs cant work simultaneously.No placements and whatever they claim is wrong (No big company will ever come there,ask them which company came,all will give different answers). the library will have less than 40 books but no full time librarian. there are so many colleges what is so special that Oracle,Microsoft Hindustan Lever will come NIAS campus? Studenst are picked up from villages who does not know anything but comes to city for career but after three years they dont become more than waiter or salesman No labs, no gym,no swimming pool ,as per them its outsourced!! Whatever computer they have are all virus infected Big joke. they pressurize students to pay fees in advance.give them books 1 week before the exam, forces faculties for taking late salaries,forces them for tour in remote places.the situation has become so bad that faculties are leaving the college .the principal himself is not a graduate but heads a big team. All they claim is wrong, don't send anyone even within 1 mile of the college.
According to these comments, I will support neither those who are against NIAS nor those who are with NIAS. If, an institute is not good, it means it is not good according to that particular student. Before joining in any institute whether it is governmental or non-governmental, enquiries should be taken from councillor, faculty, dean and students from that particular institute. After going through enquiries, if the student finds it suitable then he/she should go ahead.
I support this complaint. But the actual truth is,
1. Principal Doesnot have good Commad in English. Very arrogant person.
2. Many Hidden Costs are there , even faculties are creating pressure to pay this amount.
3. HOD is not from Hotel Industry or from educational background. He is an ex-Wipro Call Center employee.
4. CT is provided only to few students.
5. They dont have any Lab for practical, only Theory Classes.
6. All faculties have horrible communication and teaching skills. They Keep Shouting on us.
7. But Degree they are providing is not fake. It comes under PTU-recognized by UGC and Approved by AICTE.

In my view NIAS(Nalanda Institute of Advanced Studies) is the best management institute I have ever seen. The teachers are higly qualified and professional. Dont even hesitate to take admission out here. It's 100% placement record making the institute rated no 1 in management field.

Nalanda Institute of Advanced Studies is a premium management college in kolkata creating toppers year after year. Its teaching methodology and 100% placement gives student a chance to explore themselves in the corporate and hospitality field. But it unfortunate to say that some worthless people spreading baseless rumour against this esteemed institute.
people are advised not to pay attention to these nonsense and worthless creatures in this society.
