I had bought a Sony Xperia handset on Jan 1st of 2013. I was facing the problem of Echo sound issues while talking to people whenever they call me. What i noticed is that this problem is with most of the handsets sold by sony end users. And i you find the below reviews and problems faced by end users. Sony launched this handset at the price of 10300 after an year they slashed the rate to 9400 and now Sony has stopped the handset production because of the issues which it had. People like me who have bought the handsets still have a problem and Sony is not at all helping end users ot resolve the issues. I had been to Sony services center and they initially told me that they software which solve the problem. I said fine update the software and give it to me if it is solving the problem. I also come from hardware industry and when any hardware has a problem how will that issue be sorted by updating a software. I waited in Sony service center for 45 mins to update the software. after the update me and service center people tested it had similar problems and they suggested me to leave the handset for observation at their center which i did so. I get call from Sony next day evening that it has a problem with the PCB mother board and they will take 15 to 20 working days to replace and get it for me. But i will not get stand by phone until then. I said fine. Do it. But all of sudden one service center head comes not sure of his name and he checks the handset and confirms that it is fine. They do test by using my SIM card and their SIM card on that handset. I did call my wife and my office front desk to get a clarity if the sound is clear or not but of them confirmed they hear some disturbing noise while talking and walking as well. Which they deny the fact teh fact it is still fine.
I have given them too many options to repay my money,I ahd paid money of 10300 but the current market price 9400. I an fine if i am getting 9400 also. Or else i am ready to buy any other Sony handset which of higher cost by paying some difference amount of money. I requested to them to get me a escalation point to talk to them and sort my issue but that also did not happen.
Currently handset is with service center in Indiranagar Bangalore-ticket number is 13040802516.
I am not sure how do i come out of this problem now and sort the issue.
