I booked for a room in LEMON TREE HOTEL,Aurangawad through CLEARTRIP which i later cancelled.And now I am not getting any refund reason according to customer support agent being the policy in which I am being told it was mentioned that if i cancel within 1 year i wont be getting any money back.Although I had checked booking policy at that time and had called customer support agent to inquire about the policies before booking and have again checked hotel booking policy and with lemon tree hotels too, there is no such clause mentioned.There was your discount scheme going on which said there is no hidden policy.Than where did it come from??And in the confirmation voucher i got from CLEARTRIP side,this clause was written.But shouldn't they be telling this before booking and not after...isn't it a sort of unfair trade practice??
And CLEARTRIP's phone customer support is the worst I have ever encountered.They tell you to wait for 2 min and than never come back or disconnect the phone.I wasted my 1 hr(and std charges) because of this.Further one of their representative i recently talked with said this clause is mentioned in their policy.When i asked her to search and tell me where is it mentioned she took around 10 mins but still was unable to find any such clause.When their own reprensentative is unable to find such clause how can they expect the customer to find the same??Customer support executive had told me that she'll mailing me the snapshot of the booking policy that was applicable when i booked but it has been more than 15 days i haven't received the mail.Also i sent mail to their customer support executive but in vain.I am feeling cheated having lost more than Rs 5500.
